A field hockey club for girls under 19

INDOOR OPEN HOUSES

We will be hosting two open houses to introduce our club and the game of indoor. Please see details below!

We offer three levels of play: house league is for those desiring to play one day per weekend at NCS with no travel; club is for those desiring a bit more competition. Practices will be one or two days per week and include two to three tournaments. Elite is for our top groups (tryout necessary) and this is more of a travel setting where players will practice two times per weekend and/or have a tournament. There is more travel involved and an indoor qualifier.

We practice at National Cathedral School in the three court gym (directions at www.ncs.cathedral.org). We are having two open houses to introduce people to indoor play and our club. Registration for the open houses is at www.beyondsticks.com and is live now. Once you are on the website, click on winter club. You will see the registration links and appropriate times for each age group. Your age group is determined by your age on December 31, so if I was 15 on December 31, I should play U16, even if I turn 16 during the calendar year.

During the fall season we run Fall Skill Sessions on Saturdays for any players interested and Club Team Practices on Sundays.

The fall is a great time to work on skills you don’t get during your team practices. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced players attend skill sessions to learn a variety of skills to supplement their game play.

On Sunday we work with our club teams only. The fall focus should be on your school team, our practices are to supplement other play and primarily train for festival.

For those playing on our most competitive club teams, we will bring two teams, a U16 and U19 team, to USA field hockey Festival, the largest tournament of the year.
